A journey through form, colours, and experimentation by an artist who transformed water, matter, and everyday life into poetry.
Inside an historic building in Frontino lives the legacy of Franco Assetto (1911–1993), a visionary Turin-born artist who donated much of his work to the community. The exhibition route guides visitors through the artist’s creative seasons: from references to surrealism and material informalism to his celebrated water sculptures, where form, colour, and movement come together in perfect harmony. Alongside them are sophisticated drawings on cut paper, wall sculptures in wood and plastic, and the ironic, monumental Big Candy works, a preview of ever-evolving artistic languages.
Each room tells the story of Assetto’s dialogue with his time, moving between pop art and his own personal experimentation, up to the fountains that embellish Frontino and its surroundings, true works of public art that continue to amaze all who see them. This museum is more than just a collection, it is an invitation to discover an extraordinary artist who transformed art into a living, shared experience.
