In the heart of the Umbro-Marchigiano Apennines, among the ridges overlooking Mount Catria, stretches the Bosco di Tecchie, one of the oldest and most precious forests in the Marche region. Here, time seems to slow down: centuries-old beeches intertwine with chestnut trees, oaks cast deep shadows, and the air is filled with the scent of moss and living wood.

Entering the forest means immersing yourself in a world that speaks of biodiversity and silence. Along its trails, you may encounter roe deer, fallow deer, squirrels, and—if you listen closely—the discreet calls of birds of prey soaring above the canopy. In spring, the meadows ignite with wild blooms; in autumn, the forest turns into a warm palette, where yellows and reds blend with the dark green of firs.

At the entrance to the protected area, the Tecchie Visitor Center introduces visitors to the natural treasures of the forest: themed trails, educational workshops, and information points serve as a gateway to an experience that continues outdoors. CAI paths and local routes offer itineraries of varying difficulty, suitable both for those seeking a slow walk and for experienced hikers.

The Bosco di Tecchie is not only nature: it is a living memory of the ancient relationship between humans and the forest. Charcoal burners, shepherds, and farmers once left traces of their passage, now integrated into a landscape that has preserved its authentic and wild character.

Walking here means rediscovering the rhythm of the earth: the breath of the trees, the coolness of streams, the sound of the wind becoming a travel companion. It is a place that invites you to experience nature not just as a backdrop, but as something profound—capable of bringing every step back to its essence.

Mu.Mont invites you to pause before even entering. Imagine an untouched forest, ancient and vibrant: majestic centuries-old trees, leaves forming a multicolored carpet, streams whispering among mossy rocks, gorges carved by time where the forest’s breath becomes your ally. The images tell of a living landscape, suspended between quiet and wonder.
