Bustreng: the sweet bread of the holidays

Bustreng is a traditional sweet bread from the Montefeltro area, enriched with spices, dried fruit, and a comforting, homely aroma.

Perfect to enjoy during the holidays or whenever you’re craving a dessert with an authentic flavour. 
Bustreng is made by combining simple, wholesome ingredients:

  • flour
  • sugar
  • eggs
  • butter
  • yeast 
  • raisins
  • walnuts 
  • pine nuts

Preparation:

The dough is kneaded with care and left to rise slowly until it becomes soft and fragrant.
Before baking, the sweet bread is shaped into a braid or a loaf, according to local tradition.
As it cooks, it releases a warm, inviting aroma reminiscent of festive gatherings and family celebrations.
